Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS) from Hybrid Nanoparticle Arrays
Small VO2 particles are relatively inefficient scatterers and fail to yield a Raman signal even for long collection times. However, hybrid Gold-on-VO2 particles of similar size produce intense VO2 Raman peaks due to enhancement from the Au plasmon resonance.
